Absesses scared...?
Question:

Long story short, you need to get that abcess addressed. An abscess happens when the living nerve inside your tooth has died due to trauma or a deep cavity. This infection will not go away permanently, but with antibiotics it may subside for a while. This is something you must get treated as the infection can get deeper into the tissues and potentially become life threatening. I repeat, please get it treated as there are no home remedies. In my 15 years as a hygienist I have not seen any causes of abscesses causing death in my patient population, but the recent death of a small child who wasn't getting regular dental care died as a result has increased the awareness of the possibility. Call you dentist (new or old) and get a visit to be seen, take more antibiotics and get the tooth extracted or have a root canal.
Hope that helps!

an abcess isn't going to heal up by itself and any time you have aninfection in the head it can be dangerous. Talk to a dentist about a payment plan and get it taken care of before it progresses to something more serious. My husband had a painless abcess that ate right through the roof of his mouth before he knew it was there. The infection will continue to destroy more tissue if left untreated. The antibiotics are only the first step in the treatment.
Don't get too worried about brain damage, that only happens if you don't do anything about it for a long time.Sometimes an abscess will pop on it's own, like a giant zit inside your mouth. It's nasty, this foul liquid that smells like rotten dead fish pops and it feels great once it leaves your body. But don't force it though,it'll happen on it's own .Hope you feel better.
ask the dentist who prescribed if they can call in a refill make sure you take as directed and complete run of it also some things can cancel out antibiotics so make sure you are careful of that, try to make sure you are doing your mouth care extremely well brush (tongue too)and floss and rinse is very important you do not want to aggravate it more by carelessly adding more bacteria to the mix try rinsing w/ 1:1 perioxide(brown bottle) H20 mix 2 x daily to keep infection at bay and continue w/ ibuprofin to keep inflamation at bay
ppl always get so dramatic about this, yes it can be dangerous especially if it is on top so ive been told
i think that the infection needs to be cleared up before they work on it sometimes they have to be drained and this usually has to be done by an oral surgeon
If you were in constant pain 24/7 then I would be worried, but you need to get to a doctor soon. If money is an issue then you should go to the Dental School in your area if there is one. The cost is much much lower than going to an actual dentist. Don't worry if you go there, there are real Dentists watching the Students while they work on you. Hope this helps you.
