Answers:
It's usually a good idea to have them removed because of the
tremendous pain they can cause when they start coming in.
I think most people have them removed between the ages
of 16-24, but I imagine they can be removed at almost any age between 10-70.
They are in no way connected to a our individual mental abilities, and most people theorize that they are actually teeth that we used hundreds of years ago when we had to chew food that was much harder on our teeth, but because of our advances in technology and food processing we no longer need them.
Wisdom teeth have nothing to do with smarts (sadly) they come out in people as early as their preteens and as late as their twenties...and in some people not at all. They can crown a little bit and takes months to cause pain or wreak havoc before ever tearing through the gums. Some people get them removed and some don't...I just said a whole lot of either or's but I hope it makes sense.
im not completely sure about the age, my bro got his out at like 17, but im lamost possitive its got anything to do with how wise you are, unfortunately smarts isnt a physical manifestation realy.
Generally they emerge in late teens or so. I believe the name has more to do with the fact that you are older when they come in.
Hi 2Cheesy, No it has no smart or wise for anybody. I had all my wisdom teeth in my early 20's and they all were pulled out. Wisdom teeth are to far back in your mouth to be able to clean and brush them right. Most dentist will ask you about pulling them out. There's really NO use for wisdom teeth. Just a little game GOD plays with us. Lol
