Dentist stuff about teeth ha??

Question:
i have like a tiny cavity and i can't even feel it, even when i went to the dentist today and they were messing with it

i need to get it filled soon...will they still use the numbing stuff even though it doesn't bother me or not??

Answers:
I have several patients who request no anesthetic. I kinda creeps me out to work on someone who is not numb, but the patient has the right to choose.

As long as the cavity is not deep (the x-rays usually show 50% of the actual size) and the dentist has no specific policy, you do not have to be numbed. (To avoid any lawsuits, you understand. He/She does not want you to say that you weren't numb and it hurt you.)

You should call them and ask ahead, for peace of mind. If the dentist injects verry slowly, you will not feel too much and will not be sore the next day at the injection site.
more than likely yes. when they start messing with it more, it may start bothering you. (like if they hit a nerve!)
maybe.if you don't want them to numb it ask them not to.my advice is to get it numb. do what makes you happy.good luck!!!!
I had small cavities like that , that didnt bother me either and they used the shots to numb my mouth i didnt feel a thing. Just had to wait for the numbness to wear off so I could eat.
If it is small enough they will not need to use it. Just because you can't feel it doesn't mean it is not large though. However if you ask the doctor if it is necessary or if you can try without, that shouldn't be a problem. If it is as small as you think you should be able to get away with not getting it and you will be fine.
I had three cavities that never bothered me, but they still numbed my mouth, and I'm glad they did. Even with my mouth numbed I could still feel pressure and a little pain.

You'll want to be numbed, trust me.
