I used to have this kind of problem too. Later, I found out two main factors of the cause of 'my' problem:
1. Not resting well. (Going to bed late late at night/morning)
2. Eating too much fried/oily food (especially chips and spicy foods in my case)

In my case, I stopped these kind of foods and tried sleeping earlier and well. Also, got in the habit of eating more fruits and drank more water. Now, I don't have this problem anymore.
Keep breath mints next to the bed, and brush your teeth right away.
Visit a dentist for a check-up.
Bad breath is most often caused by small food particles on your tongue. You will understand what I mean when you go to the mirror and look at your tongue, it probably has a layer of white/off white stuff on it. That's what causes bad breath.
The solution to this is to invest in a tongue scraper, which basically is a piece of thin bendable metal that is useful in scraping that white stuff off.
This is pretty much a normal thing for humans really. I'm not quite sure what causes this but I I assume it has something to do with the saliva in your mouth not being moved around because you're sleeping. For more info, see the source.

Don't worry, it's something that all people get, hence why it's partially a good idea to brush your teeth in the morning :)
Drink lots of water... ALOT about 2 litres per day and not less. Drink water an hour before your meals and an hour after your meals. Eat cloves and/or parsley after your meals a natural way to restore your breathe. Do you floss? Also check for cavities they would cause bad breathe. Also watch your diet live foods promote fresh breathe actually I have not said anything new have I ?

Wishing you the best

brush yr teeth when u wake up in the morning.drink water before brushing it.always have spearmints..that's what i know
It's normal. I wear braces, i brush, floss and mouthwash at night and wake up with not so pleasant breath. It's b/c the mouth lays dormant at night for the hours you sleep. I wouldn't worry.
You probably are due for a good cleaning from your dentist. Mouth odor can signify decay, periodontal (gum) disease or a change in your health. Call your DDS first if it has been a while (breath mints will only mask the odor partially and will create more of a problem, such as more decay) If you have been in with your dentist recently and regularly, call your physician and have them check into it farther.
u can try brushing ur teeth once in a while ?? or if ur doing favors for ur wife the night before just brush ur teeth right after instead of going to bed with ***** mouth lol
I would listen to [Beautiful awakening} some people has rough tongue and some smooth tongue, food particle get stuck on the back of your tongue so over night buildup bacteria start smell bad, so scrub your tongue and brush your teeth and your tongue and you good to go but not for long, you will know you should do this again
