URGENT DENTAL QUESTION! dental people please help me?

THIS MAY SOUND SILLY BUT SINCE HAVING BRACES, I HAD A TINY SPEC OF ROTTING ON ONE OF MY SIDE TEETH, YOU COULD SEE IT BUT IT WASNT GETTING ANY WORSE, IT WAS THERE SINCE LAST YEAR AND WAS THERE YESTERDAY BUT TODAY ITS GONE, I DONT KNOW IF ITS WHERE IVE CLEANED MY TEETH SO WELL IT HAS REPAIRED IT OR IF THE TOOTH HAS WORN AWAY? PLEASE HALP I CANT STOP WORRYING, DENTIST PLEASE ANSWER!

It sounds more like a stain on the tooth. If it was a cavity your dentist would have picked up on it especially if it was that obvious to you, and he /she is a trained professional. Stain can LOOK like a cavity but the enamel is still hard, cavity the enamel would be soft and the dentist would be able to probe it. Call your DDS ask them if they noted anything on the upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right quadrant (another-words, give them a quadrant to go by) if the say "no" and you still have concerns, see if they can get you back in for a recheck, no big deal. What your describing may be a pit in your tooth, a little hole, which is getting food trapped in it, which is why you can see it at times, maybe when it has something in it, and at other times it looks ok, when your brushed your teeth and it hasnt got anything in it.

Not all cavities (holes) need filling, it may just need a little attention, go to see your dentist.
