Is a 20/21 year old too old to wear braces?

Question:
I know that you can wear braces at any age, but is it pointless to wear them after you're a teenager? Are they still effective?

Answers:
Sure they are effective, however it many take a little longer as you age because the roots and bone of your teeth are stronger as you age so the orthodontist does it slowly to not damage roots of teeth. I had braces at the youthful age of 28, it really helped my jaw problems.
That is not too old at all!! If you need them go for it. Who doesnt like a nice smile!
They are effective at any age. When you are older, 20/21, you probably already have your wisdom teeth in, and that is good news. You don't have to worry about your teeth shifting once you get your braces off. I say, if you want them straight, do it.
no. 65 is too old.my grandpa is 65.im 15.
my step sister had them donme at 45
if you need them, then i don't see why it would be pointless
Nope. If you can afford them, then get them. You don't want your teeth to get worst.
You will see your teeth move into alignment wearing braces. If you are sick all the time and never chew food, then you might not want to invest the time and money for braces. Other than that, at your age you are not too old. You have many chewing years ahead of you.
Of course not , now a days I have seen people in there 40s wearing braces. If you feel self conscious about it see if Invisaline corrections would be an option for you.

Good Luck and remember that a nice smile is great for any ones self confidence which in turn will pay off in a lot of ways in the future.
NO never pointless. You'll be happy if you get 'em. Think about it, your teeth won't look horrible as the years go by. Besides, if you wait, they could get worse. Get braces, live a happier life.
