IT FEELS LIKE HELL! i just got mine tightened yesterday and it hurts soooo bad! but they just take the wire out and put in a new one and thats how they tighten em
they actually change the wire running through the brackets glued to your teeth. It is uncomfortable. Take ibuprofin b4 you go to have it done.
They just take off your old colors... then put on new ones. The first few times it hurts very bad...but once your teeth begin alligning it not so bad. JUST TAKE ADVIL!
GOOD LUCK ;)
they dont actually tighten ur braces they just take out the wires and replace it with new ones and change the colors of your bands. i get mine off really soon
well yeah i have braces and they hurt really bad for like 5 days and how they tighted your braces is the dentist will remove your bands on the brackets, and then he'll take out the wire, and then he will get a smaller one and then he'll put it in and then he'll ask what color you want your bands, it will hurt for 2 days you will feel discomfort!
hey! i just got my braces yesterday too! after i got them it didnt hurt for like an hour. and NOW they KILL!! and they are so geeky... ick. thanks for asking that question. i hope u do well with ur braces!!
Good Luck with your Braces! Hopefully, i will get mine off in a few weeks. The orthodontist can do multiple things to tighten your braces. Sometimes they put in a thicker wire, sometimes they add rubberbands, etc... I just got some sort of spring put in between two of my teeth. Random weird things, but if will basically feel like the same as getting your braces on. Your teeth are sore, but nothing you can't live with (especially with an advil or two :-) ). Getting them tightened also doesn't hurt as much as the original deal. Hope I helped.
Well ive had my braces on for about ten months now and he just changed the wires for the first time a few days ago, but the other times when he tightened my braces he just but the elastics on that looked like little chains, he put eight on two outside on the bottom row and on the top row and he put two inside on the bottom and top row. the first time it hurts just because your not used to it but after that it just feels like theres a it of pressure on your teeth and it goes away after like 4 days.
