Kids sucks her tongue (yes tongue) help?
Question:
It's driving me crazy.
Answers:
Its a comfort thing, I used to do the same thing. She's only 4 so it might be hard to talk her out of it, but try to tell her why she shouldn't, then offer rewards for breaking the habit and encourage her. I don't know if there are any other ways besides her just deciding to break the habit.
Maybe she wwill grow out of it at least she is not putting her fingers in her mouth and adding germs to her body
get over yourself, she will grow out of it when she is ready, and she isn't going to damage her teeth doing it either.
i think it's naomal and i think it is okay
WHAT did the dentist say? My sister use to suck her thumb. IT stopped her fron sucking her tongue.
if its not creating any speech problems and her teeth are fine then leave it be she'll grow out of it on her own, be thankful my 3.5 yr old still sucks his thumb and has to see a speech therapist twice a week.
shell outgrow it
nothing else you can do
it is a comforting reaction for her
you can tell her when she is awake to stop it ... remind her and do it nicely, NEVER make her feel bad for it
this will help in wakinghours, but she will grow out of it
My friend's son has an "overactive tongue". The dentist put a piece between his bottom teeth to help keep his tongue in his mouth. He had it in his mouth for about 6 months and it worked.
My niece did this until she was about three. It eventually went away on its own.
discipline her
reward her
replace her tongue.like a lollipop
she cant do that at the same time can she? :D
i new a few people who can do that aswell. i think it's a special talent. don't worry about it.
My son sucked his fingers for many years. My opinion is just to ignore it. They will outgrow it. He's 26 now and doesn't do it any more. And it isn't a health hazard. There are lots of things that children do that need correction. This isn't one of them.
I sucked on my tongue when I was little until my dance teacher threatened to remove it.
Don't worry. She'll grow out of it.
