What is your opinion concerning who more greedy, Doctors or Dentists?

I have always thought that doctors are just there for the almighty dollar. I still think that there are some that would rather die that help the poor or people who can't afford insurance. Recently I have been shown that there are doctors who care and give their time to help those in need. But dentists, they are the most greedy of all. One dentist I heard say that he will offer his services for free, extractions as a pain control only. No fillings, no gum treatment, no bridges, no braces, no crowns, nothing other than extractions. I hope he needs someone one day and they just offer to off him instead of saving him.

Neither...have you any Idea how much money they are in debt from student loans?! Yikes ! Loads. Then they work for practally free for 4 years to do their residency. By the time they are 40 they are burried in debt.

Here is my opinion: No person in their right mind would want to mess with peoples teeth all day, except for the money.

Well i have to admit at the hospitals the doctors r very slow. I think that dentists r greedier because the last time i went there was when i was 13 im 14 now but anyway they gave me an adult cleaning proseadure and they arent allowed to do that until im 14 and the insurence couldent pay for it. so i would have to say dentists r greadier because adult cleaning is much more expensive!

Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years. Can I answer? Greed is not a profession make. Check out Enron, Tyco and the Wall Street Market last week. These people make hundreds of millions from stealing from employees that lost their pensions and retirement funds. Pharmaceuticals that put out drugs that kill after limited testing and changing the statistics are criminal. Now lets discuss dentists.
I started because I had the worse teeth and grew up in the South of USA where teeth had Zero priority. Toothaches were treated with extractions, not root canals, not fillings. I wanted to change that.
But remember, all professions have bad guys, even lawyers and cops. But I know so many doctors and dentists that have joined "Doctors without Borders" and go every year to a god forsaken place and risk maleria, cholera and other awful diseases to do cleft palates and jaw surgery and fix rotten teeth so children and adults can smile and eat a normal way. I went twice and one time got such stomach problems(paraites) they wanted to send me home and I refused. It took me two months to be able to eat real food and not throw up and not cramp so bad I thought I would die. I will go again in 2009 if they let me. Anyone can be corrupt, but they should be reported the Peer Review and be investigated. No one is above this. And if the alegations are true, their license is history. So don't think Drs are above the law. They are under a microscope more then you know. Certainly more than anyone in business or high finance. So please be a little more gentle in your thinking. We take a pledge to help, not to hurt, we don't spent 200 thousand in college costs, endless days and nights in the clinic because we want to rip peple off and steal from them.
