How can I make my swollen gums go back to normal?

Question:
I have swollen gums, and they bleed most of the time when I brush my teeth. What should I do for them to go back to normal and stop bleeding?

Answers:
You will need to see a dentist. You have the beginnings of periodontal disease. The dentist will schedule you scaling to remove the tartar and debris under your gums. It's an easy treatment. In the meantime, you need to be flossing. You will continue to get bleeding (until you recieve the treatment), but it will help get your gums in shape.
Visit your dentist and have a dental hygienist assess and clean your teeth and gums. You probably have periodontal disease.
swish and spit with salt water
