How do I know if my tooth filling was done wrong?

Question:
I had a filling done on a back tooth a week ago and side tooth 2days ago. They are rough and one of them feels like there's something sharp sticking out of it.I cut my toungue on it a little while ago..They both hurt like hell too and are very sensitive.Does this mean they were done wrong? How can I tell if they were done wrong?

Answers:
They might, just because of the sharpness. The texture is not smooth on top, which is normal. But if you cut yourself, you might have a crack and the dentist might have missed some spots when he was polishing it.

Go back and have him take a look again.
pull it out, put it under your pillow. if the tooth fairy doesn't replace it in your mouth, then it means it was done properly.

if you wake up and it's been put back into your mouth and there's a bill for $122.98 than it was put in wrong. Good luck!
Sometimes they just need to be filed a little bit.

Just go back to the dentist. It take a second and doesn't hurt.
Don't know. BUT...

I do know that teeth can be sensitive for more than a few weeks, after a new filling.

Call your Dentist and have him/her smooth the filling. Let the dentist know that you are still hurting.
You can tell if it falls out.
sounds like the bite may need to be adjusted, just go back to the office & have it checked.
Oh, I guess the sharpness indicate they might have been done wrong, cause that should be smooth on top; you should go back to your dentist and complain.
