You have to contact some one from medicaid to see if they will cover the braces. You may have to get some kind of authorization prior to getting them done.

Medicaid services are performed by Medicaid participating dentists. If that dentist takes medicaid, he may also do Orthodontic work. Most Orthodontic specialists do not accepted Medicaid as payment. Also it depends on your age, medicaid has certain stipulations concerning age, and will not cover if you are above that age. Good luck.
Medicaid (which is TAXPAYERS money), doesn't pay for cosmetic dental work and won't pay for your braces.
It will pay for fillings, extractions and cleaning but not anything cosmetic. Braces have nothing to do with health..they are simply for looks.
Taxpayers don't pay for that.
I agree, medicade is basically a welfare program used to help with medical and dental necessities, not cosmetic reasons. I have braces, they are a cosmetic reason, my parents paid for them, themselves, no tax money.
