In pain and need a cure soon...?

Question:
Ok went to the dentist today at 12pm and i was meant to be getting a filling in a small pin hole in my upper tooth. The dentist turned round and said that the tooth on the outside was sound and because bacteria had got through the pin hole into my tooth the tooth would rot inside to outside. Soo she decided to drill open my tooth and clean the inside of it and then fill it all back up again. While doing this she put a hole in the tooth next to it and had to fill it in aswell. She gave me an injection to num my gums while she done this. But now an hour and 44 mins later i am in soo mch pain and my mouth looks like i've been hit some smack up the mouth lol. My gum is all bruised ( purply... black colour) I took painkillers about 10 mins ago and i am waiting for them to hopefully take the pain away.

Does anyone have any other ideas of easying the pain??

Answers:
Whatever you do do NOT ut Clove oil on the gum! it will burn the skin!!! But you could ut a small amount of clove oil on th ball of cotton wool on gently place it against the tooth or even get an ice cube to numb your gum or go for a sleep or put a hot waterbottle against your cheek or drink some alcohol and get rid of pain lol emm i thnk thts all you can do bonjela, medijel, calgel sut the usual hope you feel better.stupid dentist too busy worrying about getting paid and not looking after her bloody patients damamging yet ANOTHER tooth stupid dentist lol xxx
try oil of cloves rubed on the gums

or even bonjella
ive had it loads of times, try going asleep and you should right as rain when you wake up :D
I feel for you, i had dental problems a few weeks ago. oil of cloves worked, try not to get it on your tongue.

paracetamol

if you are still in lots of pain go back to the dentist, you might need antibiotics for the infection

hope it goes away soon, tooth pain is worse than having a baby!!
no cloves please.it can relieve pain but can cause a small chemical burn in the mouth.I suggest bonjela and hot salt water mouth rinse.take an anti inflammatory + analgesic.u will be alrite.
I have a toothache at the moment, am waiting to see the dentist, apart from bonjela and cloves my get out of pain clause has been disprin extra (soluble) first class try them and wait for the pain to go, good luck
Sorry to hear you're in discomfort. If you've taken painkillers ten minutes ago then be a little more patient as they do take time to work. If probably feels worse now because your mouth is coming back to life and you often get a tingling sensation which will make the pain feel worse. I would persevere with the painkillers, but don't take over the stated dose. Sometimes the soluble painkillers are good to use after dental surgery as you can rinse them around your mouth before swallowing them and this will help deaden the spot. If the Dentist gave you painkillers keep taking only those but if you do try the soluble ones, paracetamol maybe make sure you read the enclosed leaflet and ask the chemist if it's safe for you to use them. It might be a good idea to ring the chemist and ask what you could buy over the counter for this sort of pain he will advise you and you can also buy drops and things to apply to the painful area to deaden it. If the pain doesn't start to improve by tomorrow or the swelling gets really bad ring your Dentist, it might be a good idea to ring him anyway and ask if this is normal, just to get his advise, he'll be glad to help. Try putting something warm against your face that can help, maybe a hot water bottle (not too hot) wrapped in a towel.
Well sorry I can't help more hope you feel better soon, it's horrible isn't it, all the best!
put some ice on it or rinse it with salt water
warm flannel to your face..swish out with salt water helps germs and get hold of strongest painkillers u can they usually involve ibuprofen or codeine

i feel for u theres nothing worse than toothache about 6wks ago i was up through night every 20 mins screaminggg
