Broken retainer?

Question:
so my dog got a hold of my retainer and he broke the top one. so i have to go to the dentist to get a new one im just wondering ive worn it for about 4 months now, will a few days without it in cause alot of like movement in my teeth? i dont want them to get crooked, would a few days be that destructive?

Answers:
One time I was brushing my retainer and mine also broke!
It got mended back by the dentist, and I had been wearing it for like 6 months or so...
My teeth didn't make any movement, or only barely did...and I had to go like a whole week or two without it...
Your teeth should be fine! :)
I think it depends on your teeth and how long you've had retainers/braces and things. I can not wear mine for a week, and it will be tight, but alright when I put it back in.

I'd call your orthodontist and ask. He/she is the expert. =)
no a few days isnt bad at all i got months without mine and its find in 2 days of wearing it
it might shift a little. but when u put it on itll put it back in place. i know one time i didnt where mine for 2 days and then i put it in and it hurt like an ******.
