since the ortho didnt give you wax im sure they sell some in say target and walmart take pain medications and i no every one says that but somethimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. but if it doesnt work drink something icy and cold wen i got braces it was hard at first but i tried not to tlk and my mom brot me starbucks and 7/11 when i wanted it try not to tlk as much so the wires wont poke you just think of how great thell be after wrds!! hope i helped

They should give you some wax to put on it.
I had the same thing and the Orthodontiast gave me a small packet of dental wax.
I kept it on at night too, my orthodontist couldnt clip it any shorter so that why i had to wear the wax.
try putting wax on it if that doesn't work ull have to deal with it i had that i couldn't stand it all it does is poke and hurt and get sore I'm sorry that u have to go through it too.
WELL U NEED TO PARACETOMEL THEN STICK ON FLUIDS BESUASE YOUR TEETH ARE MOVING IT WILL BE PAINFUL IF U EAT SOMTHING HARD so fluids are the best answer :D and u can use wax if the metal bit are arting your mouth just place a tiny fraction
The wax doesn't always work because it falls off but if you put it on at night when you aren't going to make it fall off then you'll have a chance to heal (Not the total solution but this will help a lot every night)
You may need to go back to the orthodontist and have the wire clipped. The wire shouldn't be sticking out the back and poking you. You probably have a band around your back teeth, and the wire should slide into that. It's also possible that the wire popped out of the band. Call your doc and find out what you should do.

Get wax and put it in the tip of your wire. Some people get gum and put it on the tip of their wire but it not good so i would not recommend it!
Sounds like you have a crappy orthodontist ask for these things next time or give him a call today.
i have them too just tell your dentist that somthing is pocking you and they will clip it off thats waht they did with me also dont get wax because it will stop from pocking you but if you go to the dentist and ask them to clip it off that will be way better
You should go to Wal - Mart and buy some wax its by the toothbrushes and toothpaste and put it on the wire.

I just had my braces put on a couple months ago, so I know how painful it can be. There shouldn't be a wire that is poking you. You should definitely call your orthodontist, because they will need to clip the wire. Wax will also help and you can find it in a drug store, or a supermarket for a very low price.

I had lots of braces and i htink you should take some tylonal and then go back to get some wax! they will be gald to give you some!
