I am getting braces on aug 14 and i am wondering how long it will be until my teeth are straightened?

It really depends on if you follow your doctor's instructions completely or not. The more you follow the more chances you will have them off in no time. I would say about 1 to 2 years if you follow the instructions.

Usually your orthodontists sets the time frame before you get them on. In my opinion i bet you'll have them off in a year maybe 2 at most.

There is no way anyone can tell you how long your treatment will take without examining you. You have to ask your orthodontist this question.
i just got mine 3 days ago. your orthodontist should have told you like mine said 18-24 months and that is usually the same for everyone after your teeth are straight you have it for a while after
According to what you described, I would guess between 1 and 2 years, probably closer to 1. However, I am not an orthodontist so I advise you to ask your orthodontist for additional details at your next visit
Most likely a year and then a retainer for a year, then wear it just at night then 2 nights a week for the rest of your life... I had the same thing.
you will start noticing right away maybe a month or so my son had really bad spaces and teeth behind each other and now they are straight it is amazing what braces can do.we noticed a difference in a month or so but it takes a while to see the outcome,he has had his on 2 years now,but wow what a difference
Well you will probably only have about 1 1/2 years thats about how long i have mine, but at my ortho they straighten your teeth in about one month then they just keep the braces on so your teeth stay like that.
