Sonicare toothbrush?

Question:
i have a sonicare toothbrush and i absolutley love it.
but if you take the toothbrush head off, there is all this nasty brown gunk in there wich grosses me out so bad i stopped using to toothbrush. so basically what is this brown gunk? and how do i clean it out?

Answers:
heather is right. Water and toothpaste seep inside from the top of the head where it pivots. Left in there they'll start to form that gunk and that gunk can also corrode the battery inside. Because the manufacturer is too cheap to install a 2 cent gasket you'll have to constantly clean the inside.

And it is gross.
it is probably just a buildup of toothpaste. take it apart after you use it and rinse with warm water. the gunk was probably there a while before it turned brown. clean it more often.
