Scared about Wisdom Teeth?

Most the time they put you under, especially if they are impacted. If they can remove them with only using local anesthetic then the discomfort is minimal.I would ask if it is o.k. to take pain reliever before you go in,they'll probably issue you a prescription anyway but it might be nice to have something in you system already
If you need it, Yeah, but it doesn't hurt if you don't think about it.
First when you have ANY teeth removed insist that the dentist numb your gums first, before injecting the pain killer.
Also, they now have sedation denistry, where they can give you a pill that you take the night before the surgery, and they next morning you will be sedated and also will have amnesia so you do not remember a thing.
Lastly, you can also choose to go to sleep or have gas, or a combination of both.
Make sure your dentist is certified in dental anesthesia if you choose to go to sleep.
If necessary they will. They will do whatever they need to do. When i went and got my teeth pulled they gave me 11 shots, including 2 shots of Novocaine, and tried to chloroform me when I began bending the arms or the dental chairs and broke the washers that helped the arms from falling off.
