Try looking up TMJ, I have it, and the doc swore up and down it's caused by severe trauma, like a car wreck, but mine is not. Thats probably what it is, you need to find a dentist to diagnose you and then sent to someone that specializes with it. I haven't been, but mine locks up sometimes or clicks when i open my jaw too far. Good Luck.

Hi! I have been in dentistry for over 25 years and this is not a simple question to answer? Do you clench or grind your teeth? Do your ears click/pop when you swallow? are you old enough for wisdom teeth? Are you under alot of stress and have personal issues right now? Do you need braces?
