Don't worry at all, it's not bad :)
I remember getting them on and the only part I disliked was sitting there with my mouth open for about 2 hours. It doesn't actually hurt getting them put on, but your teeth will ache afterwards with the adjustments. You will get used to them with time, and when you get them off..you will feel it was all worth it :-D
nope
It will hurt for a little while but will go then
No, they just glue it on your teeth. It's painless. You will be sore for a couple of days, but nothing advil can't help with.
no don't even worry about it. you will be fine.
Sometimes it hurts. If you take a aspirin before you go to the orthodontist it doesn't hurt at all.
i don t know
not at all. you dont even feel as much pressure as brushing your teeth
i didnt think it hurt. i liked how the it felt. your teeth will be sore for a couple says (like 2 or 3) but after youll be fine. it just feels like pressure.
it doesn't hurt at all. they're kinda fun. sometimes i used to flick them at ppl in the cafeteria, (i wouldn't do it tho, it got me in detention) good luck and i hope u get the colored ones cuz they're funner =P
It hurts for a while maybe a few days but after this its painless.
It's a little uncomfortable and you may have a little bit of tenderness when you try to bite down to eat, but other than that it's not as big of a deal as you think it is. I thought that it was going to be horrible b/c that's what everyone else told me, but in reality it wasn't at all intolerable. Good luck and trust me, it will all be worth it in the end. Just do as told and they'll be off in no time and you'll have a beautiful smile to show off to the world :)
Well, they pull your teeth apart and twist and turn them until they are straigh, then they stick braces right in between them and tightend then together again (squezzed them in). And thats about it.
no not at all
You're going to feel a tight pressure that will be slightly to moderately mainful. It will last anywhere from a day to two weeks, but it will go away. Just eat soft foods for awhile.
it doesnt really hurt when they do it but your mouth does get sore i couple of hours later
its gonna hurt the first week or so...your teeth are gonna feel really tight and its gonna hurt when u eat...it a pain in the beggining but u get used to them...also the side of your mouth might get ripped a lil from the braces rubbing on them but not too much.i.t will get better..no worries
It doesn't hurt too much. It does kind of at first, especially if you eat anything hard. So when you first get them if you are hungry, eat pudding :-) thats what I did. ;-)
Listen to David K. Plus, panicking does't help
It depends on how crooked your teeth are. My teeth were really bad, so every time I got my braces adjusted, it was really unpleasant. I could feel my teeth being pulled into place. It wasn't really pain, but more of an irritation, almost like an itch that I couldn't scratch. I found that drinking warm liquids, like tea, helped alot. If you're just talking about the metal bands that hold the braces onto your back teeth, those were a little uncomfortable, but not too bad. It's the monthly adjustments that are icky.
I got those metal bands on my molars. It just the same as getting your braces tightened. It might hurt just a little if your teeth are sensitive, but after that I, if I remember correctly, it hurts to eat.
Just eat soft things.
Tgis will happen a lot while you have braces.
YES! The night I got mine, it took 2 hrs. to eat a Subway sandwich with a fork and knife since my face hurt so much. Take two advil before you go, if you're 21, maybe have a cocktail or two. Just be prepared. And on the way there, go buy a little tin of orthodontic wax at the drugstore. You put a glob over the metal where it will inevitably rub the inside of your mouth since your mouth isn't used to having something against it. The good news is that it hurts less over time, and that when you're done, you'll have pretty, straight teeth. Another hint--don't use whitening products while you have braces or when they are removed, where the brackets were will be darker.
