Sooo confused!?

Question:

i got spacers and they put 8 in total...but i though it would be one in between the LAST tooth/molar, but its not, its the second to last ones...is it suppsed to be like that for then after they could put the rings or w.e. they do after they take the spacers out..??

And aother question, I got the spacers today...and i am taking them out in 4 days...is it supposed to work THAT fast? I thugh i would have them for longer on.

(and this is another subject, but when am I getting my expander? I thought i was supposed to have my expander on BEFORE the spacers..?)

hahah wow im so lost...and so in pain right now =(

Noooooo,see I had the same thing done (Only I got 4 spacers.)Its supposed to be like that so that...It works very quickly because it puts soooo much pressure between your teeth that they move.On your expander,(getting one soon too.)they will probably do the measurements for the expander.(like how big they need to order it)but if they did THAT already then they are probably putting in the expander or the bands(If you need bands.).Hope I Helped!

ok wat a cawinkidink i had 8 spacers and a expander well spacer make room for a crown wich is like a braket the goes all around the back teeth expander goes on the roof of the mouth and you get a little tool that you put the the hole of the expander to turn the knob back itll be hard the first few times then itll get easy then hard at the end it will come out soon enough once it get to its limmit good luck hoped i helped :D

OMG i feel your pain. I have had my braces on for a week. The spaces are for molar bands the will put around your second molars. They are different appliance and for the arch wire that goes around your teeth. The spacers are to make room for the molar bands to fit in easily. I wore mine for 4 days also and everything was fine. And about the expander...well I don't know the answer for that...only your orthodontist knows your treatment plan. Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

well, your dentist should of expained all that to you..don't be afraid to call & ask them or the nurse questions.

my daughter had to wear spacers& change them every month,he told her to use motrin, then she got the expander, oh what moaning.. her mouth was too small for her teeth..every week or so they would turn the screw & make it wider,,,, the spacer she had to wear for quite some time,but she really did have a problem getting stretched . we made payments for over a yr to pay for it.

get some ibuprofen , take it w/food or milk,,it's otc,& it'll help lol
