Gum problems?

I hate to diagnose over the internet- but that being said...
It's MOST likely an abscess caused "fistula". When the nerve of a tooth is dying from infection by-products build up within the tooth and surrounding area. These by-products need a place to go. The end of the tooth (root portion within the jawbone) is hollow (this is where the nerve, blood supply and lymph enter your tooth). The by-products leave the tooth by way of the end (or apex) of the tooth. The bump on your gums may be hard or squishy- it may pop or go down. But most likely it's caused from your tooth needing a root canal. Don't put off having the root canal- it's the only way to save your tooth and prevent having more serious problems.
Could be an abscess. There is a great dental rinse that is called Biotene costs about $6 that helps immensely..no burning your gums, but helps kill germs etc. My hubby has serious gum problems and he says it helps a lot and too bad he didn't discover it 10 years ago since his gums are just shot now.
yes once you have taken your antibitoics make sure you get it fixed. If you have to get a root canal that mens that it is your last chance at saving the teeth.Flossing and brushing will not keep these teeth from getting serious inflamation again because the cavity has depth.
