When you get your wisdom teeth extracted are you suppose to have huge holes when the stichies disolve?

Question:
i got my wisdom teeth pulled and the one of the stiches came out and now i have a huge hole, but other stiches haven't disolved yet, will the hole close up?

Answers:
Oh man. forget the holes....your face is going to drag down like a bulldog..or a pug XD
It will close eventually. The oral surgeon should have recommended a water pic or some similar device to help flush out the holes until they are gone.
you usually do. if it hurts alot you may have dry socket. the oral surgeon can put medicated cloth inside the sockets for you so they close up faster and are less painful. you could also try puttinh gauze on it yourself. if it doesn't hurt i wouldn't worry, the holes close up.
I had the same surgery as you. Yes the hole will close up with time. It probably won't happen as fast as the other ones, but it will close. But no matter what, make sure you keep the hole clean and free of plaque and food remains.
I have 1 hole left, but thats due to repeated surgeries in that area due to a doctors mistake during surgery. They will close up mostly but you will still feel something like thick flabs of skin where the holes would be.
the hole from the area will close up. Try to keep it clean near the area. rinse after you eat so that no food particles get in the hole. The stitches should dissolve if the stitch is still there, go back to the dentist and they will remove it for you. I have seen this many times, i work in a dental office. feel better
