Food near braces?

I just recently( 2 days ago) get braces on the bottom and a retainer on the top. I have also lost abundantly of weight, because I can't get through much food. This morning I had partly a mini-waffle and a Jello cup. Then for luch I had partly a full waffle and for dinner I had some soup. I haven't be hungry lately...could this be an effect of the braces? I need to know what I can put away that won't hurt my teeth! I eventually get really hungry, and own to barf up my food just because I can't go and get enough food into my body. Help?

Answers:    Yep. I lost 30 pounds over 2 years when my braces be put on. Braces work by loosening the tooth root and literally pushing or pulling the tooth into a new location. This can explanation inflammation, pain, and disinterest within food. Usually the inflammation and pain lower within 3-5 days after respectively monthly tightening; you can then guzzle more normally until the subsequent tightening.

What did I eat? Slimfast. Soups. Mashed potatoes. Jello. Puddings. I also discovered that you can put some foods into a blender, liquefy them, and drink them. Sounds gross, but when you're adjectives you don't care. I once ate a chili dog after I put it contained by a blender.

A Water-Pik http://www.waterpik.com/oral-health-prod... is a great product that can help verbs around your braces and keep food/bacteria from making the inflammation worse. Talk to your parents roughly speaking buying one for you; you can get them at pharmacies and stores such as Wal-Mart. They may cost just about $50, but you're spending much more on your braces.
There are so many soft food options. When I first get my braces I lived off of non chunky soups resembling tomato. You can also supplement your diet with breakfast time replacement drinks like Ensure. Your teeth will stop hurting soon. You will jump through this each time you bring an adjustment but you will get used to it.

I have braces for two years on the top and bottom. It gets easier...don't verbs!
