Will an expander hurt?

hi, im getting n expander next week for my top jaw. i was wondering if it is going to hurt going on?? please help :( !! im very nervous

Answers:
It did hurt me for a couple of days. Not torturous pain though, it was nothing a couple of Ibuprofen couldn't fix. And try to eat soft foods, it will help, if pain does develop, to not make it worse.
