i have braces on rite now and they dont hurt. but the same day i got them i was like wtf i feel weird cuz its something extra in ur mouth but when u wake up the next morning u will feel like somebody pounded on ur teeth wid a hammer and i felt like crying. its really painful sometimes and after 4 days u'll get used to them. but in the end its worth it! =) good luk!
well they hurt at first, and you can feel them in your mouth for the first couple months or so. then you don't know that they are there and the pain starts to go away.

hope that's what you were looking for.
3 or 4 day after you get your brace, you wont even feel that its in your mouth
they hurt a lot the first couple days you cant bite because your teeth are sore so all you get to eat is soup and ice cream but then you will be fine
I guess it depends how sensitive your teeth are, because when you first get braces it gets very sore. For me, I couldn't eat solid food like steak for about 2 weeks, but that's just me. After a while, it doesn't feel like anything, your mouth doesn't feel heavier or anything.
the tightness you might feel is the arch wire..this is a horse shoe shaped wire that goes through your brackets and is held in place with elastics..normally people get headaches and every so often have to place "wax" where the brackets may be rubbing against their gums..you'll get used to the braces..just think about the results you'll get!
well they hurt and feel weird at first but later you get used to it.
