try taking advil or some other pain killer. try really hard not to bite down at all, or very little if you do. eat stuff like jello, mashed potatos, etc, stuff that doesn't involve biting down.

Tylenol--eventually the pain will go away though. :-)
My daughter uses Advil when she gets her teeth tightened and has pain. It works really well for her.

i just got 8 spacers yesterday. they hurt. for the pain use this stuff called equate orasel gel maxx strength. it really works. so far all i have had was soup, oatmeal and mac-n-cheese.
I had my wisdom teeth taken out before I got spacers and braces. I still had Vicodin, 1/2 a pill worked.
