My front two teeth?

Question:

My front two teeth "died" in a bike accident when I was a child. They have continually gotten darker and darker. Finally, one became sore and I had to have a root canal done on it. I am going to have a root canal on the other one because he suggested it. My question is, what would you suggest cosmetically to have done to them to make them match my other teeth, which are quite nice and straight and whiter?

When used by a skilled cosmetic dentist, you can't even tell the difference.

Can't they bleach them out? If not get caps.

Either whats called a walking bleach which is superoxyl in the canal to bleach the tooth or 2 front crowns made of porcelain with a shade to match the rest.

Best option is problly crowns..once you have root canals you want to have crowns placed over them to protect them. I know this because my front teeth are crowned. You can get porcelain ones and they look just like regular teeth...actually better than your normal teeth in some cases.

Other than that I'd just ask the dentist what he suggests.

You're lucky. My two front teeth died when I was a kid too and I needed oral surgery and 3 root canals a few years back.
Whitening them wouldn't really work at this point. I think you'll need a cap. My dentist says I'll need crowns soon. You should discuss this with your dentist. They have plenty of options nowadays.

There is NO one best answer. But the tooth is completely dead so it becomes brittle and will chip or break. You might fix that with a 'crown' or have a complete false toothe put in with a Post cemented into the jaw. . oww.
