I am having crowns put on my two upper front teeth... My dentist placed temporary caps on them while I wait...

My question is, will the real crowns feel, and fit the same as the temporary ones do? The temp crowns feel way too big in my mouth, and they are causing me to have a slight lisp. Any info can be helpfull.

Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years and yes the temps. can feel to big and out of place. However, the lab will use the impressions and your bite registration to make an exact fit. If not, complain and have them remade. You MUST be happy with the results or do not accept them. I have often cut down the impressions to get a great look and a proper fit. Stand by what you want and don't settle for less. The bottom line is you do not pay for anything you are not totally happy with. Simple. This is your mouth, your monies and don't settle for less. don't worry the dentist will fit the crown correctly. he will
also make adjustments if it doesn't feel right. just make
sure you let him know.
tell your dentist about the bog teeth and lisp. He will fit the caps in place to see how they look first. Will remove them, put some adhesive on them and then put them into place. So if you let him know from the beginning he may be able to file them down to fit comfortably for you.
Your crowns are being "tailor made' and will fit perfectly. Once they are in, you won't know that you have them.
no the crown should be the size of your actual teeth that were removed, tell your dentist about the problem your having with the temps, he may be able to refit them for you.
