I'm gonna get my braces tomorrow and because of a stiff toothbrush..I hurted my gums and I got a tiny mouth ulcer.. Is it still okay to proceed with the braces? Or should I proceed if the pain isn't that bad..?

The orthodontist that you go to will determine if it is ok to go through with the procedure.
Just as tip from someone who had braces, you might want to switch to a medium to soft bristle toothbrush. It makes the times after adjustments a lot easier to handle.
