Wisdom tooth?

Question:
I've been reading up on wisdom tooth and as i am experiencing pain on the right side and at where the wisdom teeth is at and i think.. i see a teeth under some "flesh"..

i mean like i was reading some articles and saw the term operculum or something? No space to let the teeth grow?

I should see a dentist i guess? but am kinda worried.. How do you choose which dentist you go to?

also, can you still use listerine? no problem i guess?

Answers:
Asking friends and people you know which dentist they use is the best way to find a good one. (You assume they wouldn't go to a torturer )

Alot of people don't have room for wisdom teeth. Some can be taken out after they have come in, others before they actually break the surface. Either way the dentist can figure all that out with an xray. I've had all 4 of mine out. (So i guess i don't have that big of a mouth after all!)
i it is normal for people to have wisdom tooth. as i'm known of. people really do experience pain when wisdom tooth starts to appear.

as i know. listen won't do any harm at all..
Yes, you should definitely seek out an oral health professional. It is probably erupting but impacted (stuck). That can cause you pain and serious problems if you don't get it taken care of. You should see a dentist every 6 months anyway; I suppose you should talk to people about their dentist and see if there is one they seem to think is competent. Keep using the Listerine.
I haven't got one yet and I'm 15...I heard they hurt though
Operculum is referred to the soft tissue which overlies a partially impacted or erupting wisdom tooth. This tissue flap creates a difficult to clean (unhygienic area). You can use a curve tip plastic syringe with warm salt water to rinse out this area. If it does not resolve it becomes infected forming pericoronitis. Depending on the availability of spacefor eruption, extraction or operculectomy(tissue removal) is required.
Good Luck
Sometimes the root of your wisdom tooth can grow really long and hit a nerve. You should see a general dentist. He will do x-rays on it to see how long the root is and if that 's the cause of your pain. Everyone is afraid of the dentist. I think mainly because it's dealing with the head area. You'll be fine. If they need to do anything, you'll get numbed up really good. Chances are you won't get anything done the same day you go in for your visit. You'll probably have to schedule another appointment for any procedures that you may need. It can also be an infection you developed somewhere. If you don't clean deeply enough, bacteria just sits there and you develop infections and bad breath.
Yes see your dentist. Mine came in and I didn't even know it. Others I know of were in so much pain they couldn't function normally.
