I bit on a blackberry seed, did I crack my tooth?

Question:
So I bit down on a blackberry seed and felt a sharp pain. Now it's a little sensitive to cold. Not intense pain, but it doesn't feel good. It really only hurts when it's cold. Chewing, flossing, brushing doesn't cause any discomfort. Think I can save a trip to the dentist and it will go away on it's own?

Answers:
Wait a while. Then if it doesn't go away in a week. go see a dentist.

You probably just damaged a nerve, that will get better in a few.
Don't chew on that side either. Give it a break.
Do you have a filling on the tooth that hurts? If you do, you may have cracked the tooth. I would go to the dentist just to be sure...if it is cracked and the crack happens to get larger you'll be in a lot of pain!
