Dental question?

Question:
i had a root canal done about three months ago due to having a pus pocket at gum line below the tooth.i went back and it was redone somehow and also fluhed with antibiotics.the pus pocket has come back yet again.is there anything else the dentist can do or am i going to have to just put up with it?thanks to all once again.

Answers:
I agree, it's possible the root canal wasn't done right. I have one that has been redone two times and still it abscessed. I was given antibiotics and that took care of it.
Get a second opinion. It's not uncommon for problems such as this to reappear, however it could also be a sign that they did not properly do the root canal in the first place. (If that is what even needs to be done.)
Go back to the Dentist. You can get a prescription for antibiotics to take until your body has cleared the infection.
There may be more canals in the tooth. See an endodontist.. they specialize in root canals.. and have all the right equipment to do it right the FIRST time.
I would go see another dentist. The tooth should not be still getting infected since you have had the root canal. You need to be put on antibiotics and have a dentist open the tooth up again. Go see a root canal specialist and have him take a look at your tooth. If the dentist did not reach the end of the root then this can cause your tooth to get infected again. Good luck.
