i would say the colors that flatter you the most, like if you're a blond with blue eyes and light skin, pink and blue look good, but green looks better if you're a redhead, and if you're a brunette, probably orange, maybe (lol)

If you want your braces to be less noticeable (god knows when i had them way back when, i did) then you should get white or a silver color. If you really dont care about people not noticing, then I would go with your favorite color.
just choose colors that compliment ur skin tone! but try to avoid white, or clear cuz they get stained and they dont look good if they're stained!
When I had braces, I'd always have them alternate between any two colours. So, on every other tooth you'd have the first colour and on every other one the second colour. So, on halloween, you can get orange and black, xmas green, white and red, etc. It's more original & good for after all the colours get boring (which they do soon enough!)

Don't ever get black, if someone is far away, and you smile at them, it looks like a big hole in your teeth.
I used to have braces and by far, my favorite colors were "red, orange yellow, green & purple" i got them all at the same time, in a pattern "skittle braces" is what I called them. But my dad was the dentist so i could do anything, but my second favorite was "baby blue & light pink" it's just super cool looking.
