Anyone over 40 with braces?

Question:
I'm going to be getting braces soon and I'm 47. I want to hear how others over 40 handled the experience.

Answers:
I've placed braces on 70 yr olds.

The only difference is that it takes longer for the teeth to move so be prepared to keep them on longer.

Bone gets more dense as you age that's why it takes longer.

My grandma. And she's like a cool grandma.
I'm 30 with braces...I think it takes years off your age...lol
everyone says I look like teenager...I think it portrays a sense of youth.
I do know that they hurt worse when you're older. I have asked younger kids and they didn't have hardly any pain. Everytime they adjust them I have about 4 or 5 days of being unable to chew anything and they feel tender and loose.
But after that they get better.
Good luck!!
