Answers:
I'm not sure, but I'm sure they will give you so much of the goofy gas you won't know whats going on!
First of all, calm down...staying calm will go a long way. Any oral surgery will cause discomfort - it's not the end of the world. You will probably be sore afterward and the dentist will more than likely give you instructions on how to take care of it as well as some pain pills. Ask as many questions as you have if knowing more makes you feel better. I've had my wisdom teeth pulled (after they were already in - long story) and my mouth was sore for a few days after but it healed up fairly quickly. Don't be scared - I'll say a little prayer that all goes well for you! Good luck!
Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years and we do this often. So relax. The Surgeon will get you nice and numb and then make a small cut to expose the tooth. Since it hasn't dropped on it's own he will glue a small bracket to the tooth and then one to the tooth under it. He will attach a small wire/chain that can be adjusted to have the tooth drop. If the Surgeon only exposes the tooth, then the Orthodontist will attach the brackets. We do the whole job. Will it hurt. No, you will be sore and 1-2 Advil or what ever over the counter meds will help. IF the Surgeon thinks you need Vicodin or something similar he will prescribe it for you. The soreness will last 1-2 days and then be a dull ache for 1 day and that is it. Here's the trick. After 24 hours rinse with warm salt water for 1 minute...gently. Do this 3-4 times a day for 3 days. End of soreness and NO PAIN!! And it will heal fast and help the tooth drop with no chance of infections. So take it easy, relax and let the Experts do their job and help you have a wonderful smile for the rest of your life. This is routine for an over retained tooth and you will be fine, I promise. They may knock you out -- you'll be fine. I'm usually terrified when the dentist is there, too, but its for the good. You need a healthy mouth for a healthy life.

Your mouth may be sensitive, but probably won't hurt too much. Make sure you get/have Motrin around. That stuff works great after any surgery.
The shots are wonderful, no pain! During surgery you will feel the pressure of the dentist pressing down in your mouth. They will give a prescription for pain afterward. Your gums will be sore for a while, and bleeding may occur. You will be using gauze to stop the bleeding. When you go back to get the stitches out, that will be easy. It may take you a few days to be ready to eat solid foods. I survived mine, you will be okay!
IDK! you might want 2 b asleep and afterwards you will feel tired then the next day u feel better.
