Getting My Spacers in 2 weeks?
Question:
Answers:
When they first put it on, it doesnt hurt at all.
In a few hours, it starts hurting, bad. (sorry to scare you)
Take some pain killers when it hurts, not when its not hurting.
And when you wake up the next day, there's alot of pressure on your teeth.
I suggest, follow the directions they tell you to follow.
Mines are still on, i only had them on for 2 days.
I hope the pain goes away tomorrow.
And im pretty sure, spacers hurt more than braces, so be glad that the worst pain will be over with soon (:
Take some sort of painkiller. I don't entirely remember getting mine in (it was about 3 or 4 years ago and I have an awful memory) but I'm pretty sure I took Advil, and I was alright.
Sorry I couldn't help more!
um......sit on the chair and let them do the work.
Just do not worry. I had them add they did not hurt when they put them in.
There's not much you can do, when they put them in you will feel a lot of pressure especially if your teeth are tight together, I can't get floss between my teeth so I was in terrible pain.
Take advil or tylenol every 4 hours, plan on eating only soft foods for at least 3 or 4 days and the good news is once you make it thru those, they hurt worse than the braces themselves, so the braces won't seem so bad.
It doesnt hurt its like you have food stuck between your teeth.Just take Advil or whatever you take for a headache it you think that will help you. Go ahead and get the appointment asap and that way you will have it over and done with so you wont be worring anymore.
When you go in and get your spacers they will have you open your mouth and the spacer will be strected between these scissors/pliers/pick up like things (they are not scary so don't worry). They will floss the spacer in between your teeth and leave it there. The spacer will feel like a big piece of food is stuck between your teeth (that feeling will go away in some hours). A couple hours after you leave the office it will hurt to bite down and chew on things. You will have to eat food that you can swallow easily for about 2 days (until the pain goes away). After a while you won't even notice that they are in and they won't bother you. Don't floss where the spacers are because they need to stay in and if they fall out by themselves don't worry 'cause that means that there is probably enough space between your teeth. Spacers aren't that bad but they are not fun. Schedule your appointment for sooner if you can because I can tell you are anxious and ready to get them. Good luck and email me if you have any additional questions or any questions that I didn't answer. Hope I helped!
