My ortho questionn?

Hi! RELAX! The heavier wire just means a thicker gauge wire. This is normal. Since you teeth need a little extra pull to move them, the thicker wires have more pull and help move the teeth easier. You don't want the head gear because it is uncomfortable and gets in the way of a lot of things. This will work as well in most cases. However, you may have some pain and soreness after so ask the Ortho about what you can take for pain. Most times 400-600 mgs. of Motrin is enough. But check with him/her to be certain. In the mean time, don't panic. This is a normal course of treatment and in the long run you will have a fantastic smile and beautiful teeth. Marie
this has happened to me too! dont worry though!
when you go to your ortho and you get your braces "tightened" what they really do is give you a slightly thicker wire each time, or every few appointments so now youre probabaly on your last wire, which is the thickest and the strongest
ive had mine for quite a few months now..my teeth gurt abit when i got it in, but then other times my teeth didnt hurt at all after my appointments
youll be fine!
