I had a filling replaced this morning and my face is still numb?

Question:

i had a filling replaced this morning around 8.30 am, it's now 11.30 and my face is still numb, which makes drinking and talking difficult, does anyone have any idea when normal service will be resumed?

also does anyone have any stories about anesthetics to cheer me up?

Not sure when ' normal service' will return, but when I had some teeth pulled out, I had to get 2 taken out at a time from one side. Because of this, half my mouth was numb, as was half my nose! haha.

Just don't bite the numb bit, tempting as it may be!

Zylocaine, or Lydocaine... they probably used one or the other. "Normal service" will resume shortly, don't worry!

it shuld take a couple hours if be than call the dentist but right now watch a movie or something just don't eat or drink

mine was numb for over 3 hours =] and when i closed my mouth my lips went to the side Tehe

Well... The numbing stuff will probably wear off around... 12:30 ish?
Sorry. No stories, I just had my mouth numbed for the first 2 times in my life, nothing interesting. =]

it will be fine it only last 3 or 4 hours just lie on the bed and injoy the rest....
