Anyone ever go to Mexico for dental work- can you share your experiences?

Yes, I've had my family's dental work done in Mexico for years. If you're going to go to Mexico for dental work, ALWAYS go to Washington Dental Clinic. They do excellent work, supported by an excellent guarantee. Their dentists are skilled professionals. I had some molars that were almost rotted out of my head. I asked them to save the molars. They said they weren't sure it would work, but could try to save them, providing I understood that they couldn't guarantee the work because of the condition of the teeth. They root canaled all three teeth and created three crowns in one piece, which they installed. That was over ten years ago and the dental work is still holding strong. Washington Dental Clinic TOTALLY ROCKS!!
Oooooouuuuch! Damn it stop it, Oooooooouuch!!!
Go there specifically for dental work no, but see a dentist while there, yes. I would tell you to avoid it at all costs. Likewise avoid going to any kind of doctor in any foreign place. (this includes other states). Unless it is an emerggency, it's just a better idea to stick to your normal doctors. As for mexican dental work specifically...its just not quite up to the same stanard as a lot of other places.
Hi Kaisergirl
It's just not true to say the standard of Mexican dentistry is always lower than the US or the UK. Many of the dentists are US trained to the highest standard.

The fact you can save over 90% on prices in the US and UK also makes it very attractive to many.

Of course you need to do your due dilligence and make sure the dentist you decide on has both the expertise and most importantly recommendations you can check.

I have done this myself a few months ago. After extensive research i went to a delightful and highly recommended lady dentist in Mexico, and 28 top quality porcelain crowns cost me $2400/£1200. I saved myself over $33,000 on what i'd been quoted here, fully 92% less.

If you are thinking of spending a considerable sum of money, it is an option you should perhaps at least consider..:-)

More details on where and why i went to Mexico below
Hope this helps
Cheers
