Well,I'm asking this question because I've heard so many stories about how couples wearing braces get 'lip locked' and have to end up taking an embarassing trip to the orthodontist...and now I'm concerned because both my boyfriend and I have braces!And we can't even kiss because we're both nervous of the consequences..can anyone tell me if the rumours are true,and if they are,how DO they get locked anyway?I don't understand it!

While it isn't myth, back about fourty years ago braces could actually get snagged together. Now adays, it's near impossible;; orthadontists have modified braces so they wouldn't catch, and if they did, it'd be an easy off snag. Don't worry about it. (:
its not necessarily true.just no hanky panky kissing like French or anything fancy!
