Question:
I had braces for 3 years. I really didnt like them at all. Well since moving in with my husband i had lost my retainer. My teeth on bottom shifted out well just one tooth moved out a little which made a gap on top. I found my retainer and put it in. It hurts really really bad but what are my chances of just wearing it day and night and only taking it out when i eat of them shifting back? Has anyone done this before? How long til it wasnt sore anymore? thanks for your answers:)

try getting a new retainer, and they may shift back. the old retainer will not work anymore

Probably better to let a dentist tell you this. they are more qualified.
