Call your doctor to be for sure. Everything that goes in you goes in baby.
I breastfed my daughter for 2 years. When I was 8 months pregnant I had to take vicodin to be able to handle the pain so I could get up and walk to the bathroom! (I have fibromyalgia) Also, I have had to take ultram and vicodin while breastfeeding during those 2 years. I always made sure I breastfed her RIGHT after I took my dose. That way she wouldn't get the largest amount in her system. The doctors just have to figure out what is in your best interest. Also, I didn't take the meds all the time. Maybe 2 times a week. She is fine and my doctor and her pediatrician all knew what was going on. They knew that if I didn't have any medication I wouldn't be able to take care of her at all... Because of the fact that you're just going to the dentist I'm sure that he'll give you something with a really low dose that you will take for about 3 days. Make sure you take it right before you let the baby nurse (before the meds get in your blood stream.) That is what all my doctors have said.Hope this helps! And chill out..Everything will be ok
