Nose hurts after dental work?

Question:
I had my top front teeth worked on Friday, and the bridge of my nose has been tender since the novocaine wore off. Just wonder if I poked too hard playing with my nose when it was numb or if this is something unrelated. I do have a call in to my dentist's office.

Answers:
Hi! This is very common. When the front teeth are numb your nose will also feel numb and most people have to rub, play with or pick their nose for some reason. When the novacaine starts to wear off, the nose tingles and they do it some more!! Now the nose is sore and they don't know why. I have had many patients NOT tell me this at the time because they were embaressed, but it happens. This will stop in a day or two. If you want to, take a washcloth and run very warm, NOT hot water on it and put it on your nose. Some people like ice packs, so try both. This will take time to wear off and you will be fine. DO not worry, I've done it myself. LOL If you have any other questions, please ask. Marie
u sure they worked on ur teeth and not ur nose ??
definitely call them.. that sounds odd to me
