Well, you could do what I did when I had them...I took one Tylenol and one Advil together, the DR said I could...also I ate soft food, brushed my teeth slowly and if the pain didnt go away I sadly had to live with it. Honestly the Advil and Tylenol should work together. Hope that helped...sorry if it didn't and I hope you feel better.
take pain killers prescribed to you by ur doctor. if u keep ur mouth open it hurts less really. also try to fall asleep or talk on the phone and it will go away.

i went through that too and i have had braces now for a year
try drinking something cold or suck ice.
it may help.
alo dont chew it may hurt more.
tylenol should of helped.
but dont overdose on anything :P
im sure you only have them on for 2 weeks so just try get through it.
after a couploe of days they should settle down.

you've got to ice it, so that it numbs your nerve a bit. Hydrogen peroxide would help for 12 hours, you have to soak your teeth in for 15 min it might hurt a little but afterwards you'll be good.
The best anti-inflamation pain medication that I know of is Ibuprofen. It works better than Advil and Tylenol (plus it won't kill your liver like Tylenol does if you take too much). Take the recommended dosage and see if that helps.
Try to avoid eating anything too cold or too hot, it'll cause your spacers to expand/shrink and only hurt worse. Just be very careful around it and avoid touching them too much. The time will go by quicker than you think. Good luck!
I've had them before and you just have to wait for the pain to go away. And not to scare you but braces can hurt even worse. =[
I don't know what you can do besides grin and bear it (well you don't have to grin, but you do have to bear it). My spacers didn't hurt that bad. Once I took some pain medication i was fine as long as I didn't bite down/chew. The pain WILL get better, I promise. I hope you feel better.
