I am beginning to think my Orthodontist is CRAZY. I have had my braces almost two years. They were only supposed to be on six months. My teeth were perfectly straight, I just had an overbite. My overbite is fine now to me... But there is this little tiny, not even noticeable unless youre a dentist gap between one of my top teeth & one of my bottom teeth on the left side... For around 6 months now that has been the issue. Finally, two months ago, we moved the top brackets up, which worked, or so I thought... Not good enough for her though! She keeps saying she will take them off next time if they move... But they never freaking move. What is up with this? Ive never had bands or chains either... What are those anyways? And also... What do they do when they take your braces off? When they moved my brackets, I thought I would die right there! Please help me out~!

I had my braces on for 4 years I was supposed to have them on for 3. you are lucky you never had bands or chains..ouch!! so if you are happy with your teeth, you need to TELL her to take them off. if she doesnt go to a different orthodontist, after your braces are off they wil make you a retainer, make sure you wear it so your teeth don't move around and get messed up again.
first of all, braces never stay less than two years...
when they take the braces off... they get these pliers and snap them right off! i'm not kidding... it didn't hurt me though!
