Gross thing in mouth?


Question:
Just remembered a memory from first grade.. I had a foam thing in the back of my throat, i pulled it out and it was a softish foam that was tannish with (what i remember) red and green dots in it...it wasnt puke.. this was a long long time ago and its a vague description but does anybody know what that could have been?
