Will my dentist clean my retainers for free??

Like, do I just give it to them and they'll automatically know what to do?

Had a tooth pulled. Do I use heating pad?

Answers:
If you go to your dentist for another appointment (i.e. for a cleaning or to have a filling), then the assistant or hygienist will probably clean your retainer for you.

It would be completed the same way we clean partials and dentures - placed in a solution and then in an ultrasonic. It may not remove deep stains or tartar (white chalky stuff) as that is difficult to remove from such a light weight and small appliance.

Another suggestion: use denture cleaner tablets and water to soak your retainer at home. It's usually the best way to keep retainers clean.

Is there low/no cost dental care in Houston, TX? I have a tooth abcess, no money, and no dental insurance.?

No. I don't think they will clean the retainers for you. It is the other way around your suppose to clean your own retainer using your toothbrush and toothpaste.

How often do you think you need to brush your teeth?

im not sure anyone will know what that means and if they do. good luck.
