well i had braces for 7th and 8th grade. they DO hurt when they put them on. they are very sore. and they reccomend tylonal to have when they really hurt. the hurt only lasts for like the one week. u should not eat solids. but the good news is when they take the braces OUT in a couple of years they DO NOT hurt at all. so yeah itll be fine. u will llove the results u get well good luck!

Well, they don't hurt, but they sort off "ache" the first week. But putting them on is painless, they simply taste nasty and they might rub against you lips and u will want to ask for some wax to put on them so they don't rub against your lips.
Braces are basically painless
ok the first week it hurts like crap so eat very soft foods. then after that..just a lttle pain then after 2 weeks of getting it..u won't feel a thing.
well when they put them it does feel uncomfortable! and when they put the wire that goes across it does not hurt instantly but after a couple minutes it hurts like crap! well only the first times they put the wires cause your teeth are moving and all but after it does not hurt. at first also you get alot of soars in your mouth caused by the wires and brakets but putting wax which they give you it will help. your bite changes immediatly so you are not going to be able to eat almost anything! it will go away. the first few months are the worst but its well worth it. =]
they hurt some people more than others, when i had braces they didnt hurt at all ever.
they hurt when put on or tightened but just take a tylenol before you go and youll be fine. also be sure to brush really well cause its harder and can make your teeth yellow~!
my braces hurt a lot when they were first put on and each time they get tightened it hurts for a few days but nothing too bad you just will have some discomfort and may find it sore to chew so stock up on soft foods and soup, however the pain was nothing compared to the results i got i would happily go through it again. Just take a painkiller and you should be fine just think of beautiful straight teeth and its worth it good luck hope it all goes well for u x
