Answers:
The expander will expand your top jaw and help reduce your crossbite. Because of this you will get a gap open up between your front 2 teeth, it wont stay there so don't worry. When you stop expanding the jaw your teeth will drift back towards each-other closing the gap (but the expanded jaw stays the same - it doesn't move back). You can have braces with the expander, it all depends on how your orthodontists likes doing things. Braces treatment should lat a couple of years. The hardest work will be done before your braces go on to correct your bite problem. Your teeth dont look bad at all, I have seen a LOT worse! :) Plus, its all fixable so dont worry!
my cousin had an expander and braces at the same time. and when u get braces u tend to get a gap here and there just because the teeth are moving around but by the time they're taken off u should have a gap.
yes u can wear both at the same time. i had it too. but they put the expanders first then wait about 2 months for u to get used to them and then put the braces so that ur not in so much pain. cuz trust me after i got expanders for a week all i ate was baby food and soup. and ur probably gonna have braces for more than 2 years if they're gonna ahve to bring ur top teeth to the front
